Physical Property: Mixtures and Solutions
What makes mixtures similar to solutions? What makes them different?
Properties of Water
Learn the temperature which water freezes, boils and melts (in Celsius degree). It is also important for students to know the physical state the water (matter) changes from and to at each phase. Students must also calculate the difference in temperature. Ex. You have three transparent substances. Substance A measures 87 degrees Celsius, Substance B measures 23 degrees Celsius and Substance C measures 68 degrees Celsius. If heating the substances, how would you determine which is water? If substance A were water, how many more degrees must it decrease to evaporate?
Physical Property: Density
Compare the relationship of matter's density.
